THE VISITING SCHOLAR PROGRAM

The IAOMS Foundation is pleased to announce the application period for the new Visiting Scholars Program will be open from May 15, 2018 – June 30, 2018.

The IAOMS Foundation announces the new IAOMS Foundation Visiting Scholarships, designed as an opportunity for young specialist members of IAOMS to travel to other countries and visit, for short periods, prestigious OMS Departments to enhance their postgraduate education. The Scholarship recipients will select from prominent training centers where they will have the opportunity to observe and study with top surgeons and professors.

The IAOMS Foundation will award two Scholarships in 2018. Each Scholarship will last between two and four weeks in duration. A stipend of $2,500 USD will be awarded along with each Scholarship to offset travel and housing costs.

We are sure that this new program will contribute to the progress of the specialty worldwide by promoting the educational and human exchange between young specialists.

Visiting Scholar Applicant Criteria:

•    All applicants must submit a written report to the IAOMS Foundation within two months of returning from their visit
•    All applicants agree to share their experiences via interview, photo and video
